Updated to Version 5.2. Still Free!!
Here is the new qDiscussionView from the 5.2 release of WebParts. This is a free unrestricted use of this WebPart. This is for 64-bit systems, for the 32-bit version go here.

What's new in 5.2.
(Req 4692) The search or filter capability is added to the qDiscussionView web part. You can now search your discussion board using the filter panel by specifying the Searched Fields property.
(CR 75755) A new attribute called ReplyFormUrl was added to the Field element in the Viewed Lists property. This attribute enables you to define a different URL for the new form and the reply form just in case you want the two forms to be designed differently. For example, you may want to have an additional qListForm in the reply form to show the content of the parent discussion.
(CR 79247) The qDiscussionView automatically selects the following when the qDiscussionView is loaded: 1. The item that is newly created using qListForm 2. The item that is just edited by using "Edit Properties" context menu 3. The item that is just viewed by using "View Properties" context menu.
(CR 74651) We added new properties in the Context Menu Appearance and Localization tabs to modify the text for the context menu items. There are 6 new properties in the Context Menu Appearance (xxxx Context Menu Text) and 6 new properties in the Location tab (xxxx Context Menu Text Resource ID).
(CR 77292) We added a new property called Context Menu Skin Name to control the skin name of the context menu in the qDiscussionView web part.
After download run setup and install this on the required SharePoint Front End Servers for which you are an administrator of. After Install this WebPart will be available to any site owner on the server.

This WebPart allows you to create much more interactive and collaborative discussions.
This WebPart leverages the existing discussion boards, so an empty discussion board has to be added first. You can also connect this webpart to an existing discussion board.
Make sure you refer to the discussion board in the qdiscusssionview webpart thru the ezEdit configurator.
