Web Farms report doesn't show anything

Issue:

Site Administrator 3.5.1 and previous versions.

SharePoint 2007

Web Farms report on Enterprise SharePoint node doesn't show any farms and servers.

The following is in QsSPDiscovery.log:

8/19/2009 9:31:32 AM (GMT-06:00)    5556    936     Worker thread failed, error 0x80004005, description: boost::bad_any_cast.

Resolution:

The issue is related to SharePoint farm configuration. It occurs if there is a server without any assigned SharePoint services.

To resolve either remove such servers using Central Administration or upgrade Site Administrator to 3.5.2 version.
