  • What is SharePoint? SharePoint is Magical! #SPC09 Key Videos

So many videos were captured during SPC! Here’s a collection of some of the best, starting with what I consider the most useful 5 minute clip from Ballmer on What is SharePoint 2010 . SharePoint is kind of Magical… “SharePoint is kind of magical in a certain way, a special kind of a product, there is anything in the market, in a holistic, integrated a fashion or comprehensive a fashion than what we're trying to do in SharePoint…  New capabilities new user interface, ribbon, backstage, web...
  • Behind the Scenes Videos at the SharePoint Conference by Dux

My good friend Dux Raymond Sy, the SharePoint Project Management Guru has done a bunch of short quick clips from behind the scenes at the SharePoint Conference #SPC09.  His little clips put you right at the conference with the experts.  There’s some really fun ones. #spc09 @brettlonsdale dives into the mandalay bay … by Dux Raymond Sy What @joeloleson would do if SharePoint never existed #SPC09… What @jayincalgary would do if SharePoint never existed #SPC09 What @jthake would do if SharePoint...
  • SharePoint Day 2 Recap

Today the conference really got down to business. First up was the keynote from Steve Ballmer. This is the Microsoft CEO's first time he has attended a SharePoint show and he was caught up in the energy of the event. He got the job done, putting forward the case for SharePoint 2010. Tom Rizzo and others presented as well. Then the SharePoint 2010 tap was turned on and the blogosphere was flooded with 2010 news! Over 7000 attendees registered and it seemed like most were in the room! The Crowd...
  • SharePoint Conference Day 1 Recap

Well, today was all about getting settled in, registration and then the 1st exhibitor hall session. Food and drinks (3 per attendee) were provided. The place was packed and we had a number of renewed and new relationships. So a nice gentle way to get into what will be a very intense show. Look for some podcasting tomorrow as we talk about the keynote and the full reveal of what SharePoint 2010 offers up. Quest is in Booth 221, you can't miss us as you come into the hall, but just in case here...
  • Unprecedentedly fast granular SharePoint restore with Quest Recovery Manager for SharePoint 3.1

Last week the latest version 3.1 of Recovery Manager for SharePoint became available. I wanted to talk about the new feature in this version that makes Recovery Manager the only product in the market that provides the best possible SharePoint content restoration granularity and speed. And the best part is you don’t need any more additional backup created for that. As Joel explained in his earlier post , all data that you upload to SharePoint is stored in the content database in SQL. So whether...
